"Homemade Misal Pav distributed among poor kids"

As I woke up this morning, my mind immediately wandered to thoughts of food. But as I sat up in my bed and looked around, I realized that not everyone is as fortunate as I am to have access to a healthy and fulfilling breakfast. That's when I decided to take action and do something about it.

I made up my mind to cook misal pav, a spicy and delicious Indian dish that is easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. After preparing the dish, I packed it in small containers and headed out into the streets to distribute it to the needy kids who are often left to fend for themselves.

As I walked around, I saw a group of kids playing on the street corner. They looked hungry and tired, and I knew that they were in need of a good meal. Without wasting any time, I walked over to them and offered them some of the misal pav that I had prepared.

To my surprise, their faces lit up with joy as they eagerly accepted the food. Watching them eat and enjoy the food that I had made for them filled my heart with warmth and happiness. It was a small gesture, but it made a big difference to those kids.

It's easy to forget how privileged we are and take our basic necessities for granted. But in reality, there are many people out there who struggle to meet their daily needs, including food. As a responsible member of society, it is our duty to give back to those who are less fortunate.

By cooking and distributing food to those in need, we not only provide them with the sustenance they need to survive, but we also give them a sense of hope and kindness. It's a small act of kindness that can make a big difference in someone's life.

Recipe of misal pav:-

Misal pav is a popular and delicious Maharashtrian street food that is perfect for breakfast, brunch or even as a quick snack. Here is a simple recipe to make misal pav at home:

Ingredients:

For the misal:

  • 2 cups mixed sprouts (moong beans, moth beans, black chickpeas, white chickpeas)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 2-3 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste

For the pav:

  • 4-6 pav buns
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped tomato
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 2-3 tbsp tamarind chutney
  • 2-3 tbsp green chutney
  • Lemon wedges

Method:

Wash the mixed sprouts and pressure cook them with enough water and salt for 2-3 whistles. Once cooked, drain any excess water and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and coriander seeds. Once they start to splutter, add chopped onions, garlic, ginger and green chilies. Saute until onions turn translucent.

Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt to taste. Mix well and cook for a minute.

Add the cooked mixed sprouts and mix well. Add some water if required and let it cook for 5-7 minutes.

To serve, take a serving bowl and add some of the cooked misal to it. Garnish with chopped onions, tomatoes, and coriander leaves.

Serve hot with pav buns and tamarind chutney, green chutney, and lemon wedges on the side.

Enjoy your delicious misal pav!

Serves 4!

In conclusion, I feel good today because I took a small step towards making a difference in someone else's life. I encourage everyone to take a moment to think about the less fortunate and to take action to help them in any way they can. Even the smallest act of kindness can make a huge impact on someone's life.
