A Luxury Affair with Kunafa ✨

There’s something beautifully poetic about firsts, especially when they arrive a little later than expected yet feel perfectly timed. At 36, I didn’t just taste my first Kunafa pistachio bar, I experienced it. As a food blogger, I’ve explored countless flavors, textures, and stories plated on dishes. But this one? This wasn’t just dessert, it felt like a quiet dream unfolding. The moment I unwrapped it, there was a subtle elegance. No loud introduction, no dramatic garnish, just a promise. One bite in and everything changed. The delicate crunch of golden kunafa strands gave way to the richness of pistachio, smooth, nutty, almost velvety. It wasn’t overly sweet, it wasn’t trying too hard, it simply was. What made it even more special? It wasn’t something I bought for myself. It came as a gift, unexpected, slightly mysterious, carrying that unspoken warmth only a thoughtful gesture holds. And maybe that’s why it tasted even better, because sometimes flavors are not just on your tongue, b...

"Simple and easy recipe of Korean Lava Toast"

What is Korean Lava Toast?
Korean lava toast, also known as "volcano toast" or "golden lava toast," is a dessert that originated in South Korea. It typically consists of thick slices of bread, toasted to perfection, and filled with a rich and creamy center. The real star of this dessert is the lava-like filling, which often features ingredients such as sweetened condensed milk, chocolate, Nutella, or cheese, giving it a delightful and indulgent taste.

Recipe:-

Ingredients:
  • 4 slices of white bread
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon condensed milk
  • Optional toppings: crushed nuts, chocolate chips, or cinnamon sugar

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice.

In a small bowl, mix together honey and condensed milk until well combined.
Spread the honey and condensed milk mixture evenly on top of the buttered side of two bread slices.

Place the remaining two bread slices on top to make two sandwiches, with the buttered sides facing inwards.

Optional: Sprinkle desired toppings on the outer sides of the sandwiches.
Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until the bread turns golden and crispy.

Remove from the oven and let the lava toast cool for a few minutes before serving.
Cut the lava toast into smaller pieces if desired and enjoy it while it's still warm.

Note: The filling of the lava toast should be creamy and slightly runny, resembling lava when cut open. Adjust the honey and condensed milk ratios according to your taste preference.

Enjoy your Korean lava toast!
